The pooja room in a house should be in the east, north, or north-east corner of the house. It is advised not to make the pooja room in a bed room, above, below or next to toilet or kitchen. Moreover, all the material related to pooja room should be kept in the southeast of the room. Pooja room should always be on the ground floor and never in the basement.
According to Indian Vastu Shastra, bathrooms can be on the west or northwest sides of the house. It should be avoided on the eastern or northeastern sides. It is advised to fit the taps and showers in north direction. Locker should be placed in an important direction such as South-west corner.
The wall and floor of the locker room should be of yellow color. It should be clean and clutter free. Some vastushastris suggest putting a mirror against the locker to double the opportunity to gain wealth. Apart from the conventional techniques, many people are adopting new forms of Vastu Shastra.
